Parts Coordinator

Parts Coordinator (Solon, Ohio)

PPI provides Common Coding services to our clients.

Primarily, what this means is that we receive spare parts lists from our customers and we assign common codes to these parts.

This position includes the following responsibilities:

  • Verification of vendor information (company name, OEM part number, contact information, etc.)
  • Maintain a record of all vendor communications
  • Maintain and update Spare Part Information in a Spare Parts Web site
  • Match new parts to common codes and assign to customers database
  • Add the common code to a database by assigning a name, attributes, common code and Plant code
  • Set up ordering and inventory information in Customer's Purchasing System
  • Update and organize vendor catalog information in a Web site Library and Hardcopy Library
  • Participate in and conduct meetings to share, develop, and acquire information, and continually develop the business persona in the department
  • Perform other duties effectively as assigned or appropriate to improve productivity company profit and/or customer service

You must be experienced in inventory control, parts and components, and data entry.
Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook are required.

Technical Writer (Solon, Ohio)

PPI provides technical writing services to our clients.
This contract/staff position includes the following responsibilities:

  • Develop content for installation, maintenance, operator and training manuals
  • Identify and utilize available resources for required content
    (i.e. BOMs, engineering drawings and schematics, graphics, legacy documentation, SMEs)
  • Convert, import and format various content types into established document templates and styles
  • Maintain document revision control
  • Adhere to project scope
  • Provide project status reports

Candidate must be experienced in electro-mechanical technologies, controls, or field service and have technical writing experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Adobe FrameMaker (v.8 or higher) and Adobe Photoshop are required. Experience with online Help Authoring is preferred.
This position is for local applicants. No relocation assistance available. Position may require working at client facility or at PPI office.
